What is your approach and style?
My approach is very natural and relaxed. I want people to feel comfortable and to enjoy themselves. I love when a couple tells me how much fun they had at the end of a session, and how it surprises them because normally they don't like being photographed.
My style is a combination of traditional and artistic photojournalism. I pay a great deal of attention to lighting and composition. Family/Group photos are set up and posed with a mix of formal and fun shots. For newlywed photos (just the bride and groom), I guide you into poses and capture the candid moments between you so they look very natural. Getting ready is mostly photojournalistic, but I help pose the bride for a few bridal portraits. The reception is shot in a candid style. I'm capturing people having fun, dancing, and enjoying the moment.
How many photographers do you work with?
About half the time, I shoot alone. However, if your wedding needs additional photographers (like if you have more than 150 guests and/or a really big wedding party), I know plenty of professionals and you can add an additional photographer. If you're not sure how many photographers you will need, Please Read This--it will help you decide!
Do you have insurance?
Do you charge extra for travel?
There are no travel fees within 65 miles. Here’s a map of the 65 mile radius. If you’re within the red circle, there is no travel fee. After that, the travel fee depends on where you are, so contact me for more information.
How soon will I get my photos?
My turnaround time is pretty quick. Your gallery is guaranteed to be ready within three weeks, but I usually have it up in ten days. I’ll also posts a sneak peak on Facebook within a day or two following the wedding so you will have some photos to share with family and friends almost immediately. You will receive your flash drive in 4-6 weeks, but you can download the files in your gallery if you want them sooner.
What do I get?
I have a variety of package choices, but ALL weddings include the following:
Digital files: You receive digitally enhanced files on a flash drive.
Photo Enhancement: Photos are taken through a multi-step enhancement process that results in a finished look for print. Enhancements include color, contrast, exposure, and sharpening. Newlywed photos also receive advanced beauty retouching.
Printing rights: You are given a release to print your photos at the lab of your choice.
Online gallery: A password protected gallery on my website that allows you to categorize photos, download files, create lists of favorites, share on social media, and order prints.
Professional lab: You have access to a professional lab through your gallery. A wide variety of print sizes are available, as well as canvases, metal prints, standouts, and more.
What is a booking fee and how much is yours?
A booking fee allows me to put a big X on my calendar for your wedding date so that I do not book it for anyone else. You are my top priority for that day and I have no other obligations. This ensures that you receive my full attention and time. The booking fee is non-refundable because when I set that day aside for you, I turn down everyone else who contacts me for that date. The booking fee is 30% of your package price. It acts like a deposit -- the booking fee is subtracted from your total package price and the remaining balance is due a month before your wedding.
How much does your service cost?
Wedding Packages range from $1750-$3000. You can also do coverage by the hour without a package.
